Perfectly grilled salmon with sea salt, pepper, lemon zest and dill. A quick, easy and healthy dish for a summer meal.
Whether you use a charcoal or gas grill doesn’t matter but it is an advantage to use a grill plate. The grill plate helps the salmon skin get really crisp and delicious. If you are descaling the fish yourself, be really thorough.
Depending on size it will 12-15 minutes to grill the salmon. The fish should be opaque and pull apart easily when done. Check the flesh with a fork at the thickest part. You want the salmon to be moist. If you grill the fish for too long, it will get dry and dull so keep an eye on it.
Try serving it with a salad made of thinly sliced fennel, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper and lots of fresh herbs like chervil, chives and dill.
